About ISSD-WM 26

The 2nd International Symposium on Innovations in Solar Desalination and Water Management (ISSD-WM 26) will be held on July 8–9, 2026, in Tangier, Morocco. Under the theme “Smart and Sustainable Water Systems: Innovation, Circular Economy, Climate Resilience and Peace,” the symposium aims to advance cutting-edge research and practical solutions addressing global water challenges.

ISSD-WM 26 brings together researchers, engineers, policymakers, industry leaders, and stakeholders to exchange knowledge on innovative desalination technologies, circular water systems, renewable energy integration, digital transformation, and climate-resilient infrastructure. The conference fosters interdisciplinary collaboration to promote sustainable water management, environmental protection, equitable access to water resources, and science-based water diplomacy.

The symposium is co-organized by the New Sciences and Engineering School (ENSI), Tangier, Morocco, the Polydisciplinary Faculty of Larache (FPL), Abdelmalek Essaadi University, Morocco, and the Mediterranean Association of Sciences and Sustainable Development (MEDI-ASD).

Publications

All accepted papers from ISSD-WM 26 will be published in a special issue of MDPI Energies (ISSN 1996-1073, Journal Rank: CiteScore - Q1), an academic journal of related scientific research, technology development, engineering policy and management studies related to the general field of energy (from technologies of energy supply, conversion, dispatch and final use to the physical and chemical processes behind such technologies).

Submission

Submissions should present original research with a focus on sustainable water management, environmental protection, equitable access to water resources, and science-based water diplomacy.

Papers should be 6 to 8 pages, using the MDPI Energies journal template: For Word or LateX .

Submissions will undergo a double-blind peer review process.

WordSubmission deadline Extended: April 13th, 2026

Submission: Microsoft CMT
